We’re looking ahead to our seasonal jobs fair and the job opportunities that it brings, giving you the lowdown on our upcoming courses and new qualifications you can add to your CV.

Interested in a career in the classroom?  

We have an exciting level one teaching assistant course, starting at Reach on Monday 16 September. It’s a six-week course, running every Monday from 9.30am - 2.30pm.  

The course is for learners who would like to work with children in a nursery or school setting. It’s a fully-certified qualification.  

Delivered by Realise Training, the course is free to attend if you’re aged 19+, have lived in the UK for three years and you’re not currently in education or training.  

And for those who complete level one, we’re planning to host a level two teaching assistant qualification at Reach, to further boost your classroom skills.

Reach Christmas jobs fair returns! 

Join us on Thursday 26 September from 10am-2pm when our annual jobs fair returns to Parklands in Speke. Here you can talk to local employers about retail and hospitality in the local area in the lead-up to Christmas.  

We’ll be joined by a raft of local employers including; JD Sports, New Look, Next, Pizza Express, The Food Warehouse by Iceland, Ninja Warrior, plus Sainsburys and Argos Fulfilment Centre. 

Whether you’re looking for a new opportunity in retail or want to try your hand at becoming a barista, there are plenty of part and full-time vacancies up for grabs.

Understanding mental health advocacy in the workplace 

3D Training is running a specialist qualification that will increase your awareness of issues surrounding mental health difficulties.  

‘Understanding mental health advocacy in the workplace’ is a six-week course, launching on Friday 20 September at 10am.  

You will get transferable skills and knowledge that you can apply to current or future work environments and a deeper understanding of a range of mental health problems.

Need to build your construction qualifications?  

Kick-start your career in construction by securing your Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) examination!  

Starting on Monday 23 September at 9.30am, the course is in partnership with Inside Connections, and it will take just four days to complete.  

By the end of the week, you’ll be fully qualified and raring to go! It’s free to attend and open to everyone aged 19+.

Strawberry Fields, Steps to Volunteering course  

Have you thought about volunteering but want something structured where you can get a qualification at the same time? Strawberry Fields have just the course. They’re running a six-month volunteering programme from Reach, starting on Friday 27 September at 10am.  

Steps to Volunteering is a fully-accredited course, consisting of a level two qualification in Customer Service and Hospitality and a level two qualification in Volunteering Skills.  

This is a brilliant opportunity to learn new skills and boost your CV at the same time.

Energise – Powering lasting careers 

Interested in working in the green energy sector? Catch 22 are back at Reach with a new course you won’t want to miss.  

Energise, is a four-week course, funded by Shell. Some of the roles that the Energise team might connect participants to include: 

• Retrofit Advisor 

• Solar Panel Installer 

• EV Charger Installer 

• Smart Metering 

• Smart Energy Advisor 

The programme is packed with industry insights, you’ll have a dedicated 1-2-1 career coach and access to apply for exclusive vacancies in the sector! It’s open to everyone aged 18+, and it’s a rolling course, every Thursday at 10am.
