Here’s what’s happening at Reach: October 2024

Published: 29 October 2024

This month we have a variety of courses running over the next few weeks, so read on to find out how you can upskill and improve your CV!

Catch 22 Energise programme

The Energise programme by Catch 22 is a flexible, four-week course for people aged 18 and over who are not currently in full-time work, education, or training. Catch 22 is based in Reach every Thursday and you can join anytime.

Funded by Shell, the programme is part of an initiative to encourage people into green job roles. This includes the necessary training for upskilling in roles such as solar panel installation, rope access, and construction.

Email us for more information and to register to join the Energise programme, at reach@southliverpoolhomes.co.uk.

The Restart Scheme

The Restart Scheme gives enhanced support to individuals to secure jobs in their local area and aims to tackle the barriers that prevent people from finding work.

Originally launched in 2021 by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), it has been designed to provide up to 12 months of personalised support to participants to help them to find and maintain sustainable employment.

From November, we will have a Restart Employment Advisor based in Reach. This means participants in the scheme can attend Restart appointments locally, rather than having to travel into the city centre.

If you’re interested in joining the scheme and finding out when you can speak with a Restart Employment Advisor, email reach@southliverpoolhomes.co.uk or call into Reach, to get in touch with us.

The National Careers Service

Providing impartial career advice and guidance, come along and talk to a National Careers Service adviser at Reach.

Available for group and 1-2-1 CV and interview skills workshops, the team works with people aged 18+, providing job search advice and tips on using social media during your job search activities.

Visit Reach to book an appointment today.
